Please make sure that you have understood your mistakes from last week's English comprehension quiz.

Be able to:

• Quote
• If I ask you to: "Provide one word," / "Quote two/three/four consecutive words" then you MUST quote!
• Consecutive words = words that are next to each other
• Change sentences from direct to reported speech.
• Learn the five rules for changing from direct to reported speech:

1. Remove the quotation marks "   "
2. add the word "that" after the he or she said: She said THAT....
3. Check pronouns (I becomes he/her)
4. Change tense IF the introductory verb is in PAST TENSE
5. Check your adverbs of time and place: "here" becomes "there" and "now" becomes "then"
